R2D2 Projector with Millennium Falcon Remote Control!

Tell your friends about this! (Other social media links below the post!)

After getting my awesome R2D2 Trashcan from ThinkGeek.com, I started searching around for an R2D2 unit that actually moved. To my surprise I discovered an article on this projector at Gizmodo.com. Unfortunately the item is about 2 years old, costs around $3000, and does not have AI software installed (so you are on your own if you can’t get your Terrafugia car to start).

As I continued researching around the web I found it was a limited edition and mainly sold overseas, but was also sold at the official StarWarsShop.com. The company that made this was called Nikko.

The unit comes with ports galore for everything from DVDs to Video Games to IPods, has authentic R2D2 lights and sounds, rolls itself (with the help of your handy Millennium Falcon remote control) and is almost 2 feet (20.5 inches) in height!

I can’t seem to find it for sale anywhere anymore, only references, but I am sure it will pop-up on eBay from time to time.

In the meantime, if you haven’t seen this before, you have to check out the cool product video that made the UberNerdNation team salivate.
